I’ve been an aspiring minimalist for most of my life, although you wouldn’t know it from looking at my home!
My journey into minimalism is definitely ongoing – it ebbs and flows as life changes and I’m okay with that. The pandemic certainly affected my usual minimalist habits and now that I’m getting back into decluttering mode I thought it would be the perfect time to share my journey with you.
Since learning more about the minimalism movement in recent years, I’ve been inspired to research the psychological and practical theories that could apply to the topic in an attempt to understand my innate minimalist tendencies.

My early memories involve organising collections – from toys as a toddler to nail polishes as a teenager – and regular declutterings throughout my childhood, although I didn’t realise what I was doing at the time.
I was a born minimalist and, having grown to understand the reasons why I have a preference for less, I wanted to share my research in the hope that it’ll enable you to also understand your need for tidiness, organisation, and fewer possessions than others.
I’ve also tried-and-tested many decluttering techniques and I’m happy to share my successes and failings with you so that you can learn from my attempts and try them out for yourself.
I hope you can gain some insight into your own minimalist tendencies and that this website can help you on your way to living with less and feeling at peace.
